Solutions for treating first flush water from impervious industrial and infrastructure surfaces
IDRO Group’s first flush stormwater treatment plants are specifically designed to collect and purify runoff from impervious surfaces such as industrial yards, logistics areas, roads, parking lots and high-traffic zones.
These waters, which carry pollutants accumulated on the ground, pose an environmental risk if discharged directly into water bodies or sewer systems.
The treatment of first flush stormwater is essential to:
- reduce the risk of groundwater contamination;
- relieve the hydraulic and pollutant load on wastewater treatment plants;
- comply with current environmental regulations (Italian Legislative Decree 152/2006 and regional laws).
To meet various needs, IDRO Group offers prefabricated first flush treatment plants in reinforced concrete, equipped with oil separation, sand removal, and accumulation systems, designed according to the drainage surface area and EN 858 standards.
Each first flush treatment system can be equipped with ECOPLUVIO rain sensors, submersible pumps, backflow prevention valves and automated control panels.
